Intention
I grew up thinking, whenever I see a beggar or someone in need for money; that I want to help because I want the ajr, the rewards from Allah, we called it 'pahala'. So the question of whether or not that someone was is need, or whether or not one institution in charge of taking and distributing donation is doing their job rightfully, I did my part. Allah knows best. Allah will rewards me because I do a good deed. But now, I don't think pahala matter. What I really want is to help. What I wish is for the help goes to the right people, those who in need and desperate at it. The pahala is not my concern as it is God's job to reward His servants and it is definitely not my job to decide that I need to get rewards for helping this and that person. So now the question is, how do we make sure we help the right person and we trust the right institution? We can't. We can never be fully sure where the money goes and how the money is spent. But we can try. Do some research
